Miss Constable and Miss Blackwell

Honiley Class

What an exciting couple of weeks we’ve had in Honiley Class in Science this term, learning about what plants need to stay healthy. We made informative posters to explain that plants need water, light and the correct temperature to grow successfully. Our posters are proudly displayed in our classroom. Well done Year 2!

Miss Constable

Rowington Class

Our latest scientific enquiry - can sugary and acidic beverages weaken or stain tooth enamel? We used eggs to help as find out, because their shell is similar to our tooth enamel. We left the eggs in the different liquids over the weekend. We were fascinated by the results on Monday morning. The best part was getting to hold the egg that had been left in vinegar all weekend.

Miss Blackwell

Haseley class

Haseley class have been experimenting with magnets this week in Science to find out what things in our classroom were magnetic. We had lots of fun. We also liked trying to make the same pole magnets stick to each other. They didn’t touch but we felt the invisible bubble that was stopping them!

Miss Forbes

Shrewley class

Year 4 have very much been enjoying using the new set of school iPads. We have recently used them to research Hadrian’s Wall in topic, as data loggers recording sound and light levels in computing and for lots of times tables practice during early morning work!

Miss Reid

Hatton Class

After learning all about the story, The Gingerbread Man, it was only right that Hatton class spent their Friday making gingerbread men! They enjoyed mixing together the ingredients and even helping to wash up! Well done, Hatton Class!

Mrs Stephenson
